Role Overview:
The Quantity Surveying (Q.S) Engineer is responsible for managing project costs, quantities, and contractual matters throughout the construction lifecycle. The role ensures accurate cost estimation, effective budget control, and proper contract administration while supporting EPF’s commitment to delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management & Estimation

Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs based on drawings and specifications.

Assist in the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.

Monitor project costs and maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract Administration

Evaluate variation orders, claims, and change requests.

Prepare and verify interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations.

Assist in the preparation of final accounts and contract closeout documentation.
Project Coordination

Coordinate with site engineers, planning engineers, and procurement teams to ensure project alignment.

Support procurement activities by preparing material quantity reports and cost comparisons.

Attend project meetings and provide commercial updates on project performance.
Reporting & Documentation

Prepare monthly cost reports and project financial forecasts.

Maintain proper documentation of measurements, invoices, and contractual records.

Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project specifications, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in quantity surveying within construction projects.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC preferred).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost management tools.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
